Is was a bit of a sad moment for me, closing out the first message series with First. We had watched God reveal in so many ways how we are ONE together. Our ONEness always leads us back to God’s Son. The FUTURE is no different. “And I am confident in this, that He who began a good work in you is able to bring it to completion on the day of Christ Jesus.” What a statement. God says that the Son, who started this whole ONE thing by being ONE with His Father, will take this will to make believers HIs people and carry it through. What waits on the other side? Eternity? Sure. Rest? Sure. Beauty? Sure. But, ultimately, GLORY awaits. A sinless existence. A state where there is no suffering.
Let’s play a little game… Since the future means glory, sinless existence, and no suffering, what will not be necessary in the future eternal state? I’ll get you rolling…
